Mini-sending-backing

Here's a brief post.

Today we sent a napkin, sprayed with a dab of orange cleaner for scent, with "yo' mama" written on it in green marker to Citibank.

We realize this had little to do with art and more with personal entertainment. We were down on time, but realized we had an empty Citibank envelope and they probably had not gotten anything from us in about a week.

Situation rectified!!

More to come, that's for sure.

Price Gouging

I realize that this is not a senderbacker post, put I am completely outraged about gas prices!!!! They were $3.48 this morning, but now are $4.19/gallon tonight. I don't think the gas in the ground changed price. Isn't that nice how that happens. ARG!

Mini-Sending Backing

Because we're a two adult household, we get double the credit card offers, which means double the fun for sending backing! We've been crunched for time, but we've recently sent the following items as part of our ongoing Sending-Backing Campaign:

To Citibank: a Post-It note with a smiley face, dryer lint, a clipping from an Aldi's ad, and another page from my 2007 Pearls Before Swine daily calendar

To Bank of America: a plastic fork, a napkin with a spray of orange cleaner (for smell), and half of a paper towel

Keep the junk mail coming!! We love it!!

Re-thinking Beauty

Life has been busy, and it's been awhile, but we're back in full form. Have no fear, during our absence, we were busy sending backing less art-worthy things such as napkins, plastic spoons, and random pages of my 2007 Pearls Before Swine desk calendar.

A Tribute to the Not So Spooky

We were listening to a dark part in the Lord of the Rings soundtrack when we had the inspiration for our latest piece! Check it out!!!



How many days until Halloween? Oh well, it seems the fine people at "Card Services" in Arlington, Texas will get some early spooking! Thanks for the envelope; your credit card application is in our paper shredder! :)

Do you ever get tired of receiving tons of junk mail? We do. There are also very few ways to reduce the mountain of junk mail, so we, the Sender Backers, have decided to take things into our own hands in the name of uncluttered mail boxes and art! Any junk mail that includes those lovely business reply by mail envelops, we send back-- with commercially inspired art (except for the ones with the customer locater codes). We hope you enjoy the art we create and distribute! Also, if you have any examples of your own Sending Backing, we'd love to see your pictures!
